The long awaited mixtapes from Viz Major are finally almost here!!! Due to be released in early July, these mixtapes mark the beginning of the takeover from the Street Poets Ent. Family. With the recently released "Super Sick" mixtape from Lazarus already burning up the streets, Viz Major has been in the studio grinding and putting out track after track of lyrical fire. After the release of "Hip Hop Is Major" and "Rated VIZ", the two emcees plan on following up with the release of their two singles, "Part Of My Life" and "Can't Mess With The Streets", from their sophomore album titled "This Is Music". A solo album from both lyricists are also in the works.

Another leak from the mixtape "Hip Hop Is Major" and this one is a certified banger! Viz does what he does best over the "Best I Ever Had" instrumental, this time flipping the concept from the original which stated "she" is the best he ever had to saying "he" is the best that she ever had. This "she" being both a female AND hip hop personified. Creativity at it's best and the song as a whole is delivered with fine execution. Vocals by Drake and Teairra Mari are also included on the song.

This one is labeled "2 Hard" and borrows the instrumental from the Jeezy assisted Rihanna track "Hard" from her latest album. Viz Major- "Rated VIZ Mixtape"

Just in from Viz Major is the front cover of the mixtape "Rated VIZ", which was just announced from V.I. himself that the project will be dropping sometime in March/April. This is what he had to say on the concept of the cover:

"I came up with the idea to drop at least two mixtapes before I drop my actual album. The main one I've been workin' on is "Hip Hop Is Major", but I figured since I already had like three extra tracks recorded that had Rihanna singin on it, I might as well write to more and make another mixtape. This way it can be like this second mixtape has more of a concept to it, while the first one is straight hip hop. So I start thinkin' more into it, like if I include artwork for it too that plays off of the whole concept she had for her cover, except twist it in my own way.

No, I'm not throwin' up any kind of gang signs or anything like that, and for you hip hop conspiracy theorists, I'm not forming the Eye Of Horus with my eye between my fingers. What I'm doing is making a "V" with my two fingers. V for Viz. Just keeping with the whole theme of things."

Viz also stated that he plans to continue the concept mixtapes like a series with the next one possibly being Dr. Dre or Bob Marley. Another banger off the upcoming "Rated VIZ" mixtape, this one borrows the instrumental from Jay-Z's hit "Run This Town" featuring Mr. West and Ms. Fenty, which is included on Jay's recent album "Blueprint 3". This version is labeled as "Own This Town". Listen as Viz just straight rips this beat to pieces for three minutes straight spittin' quotable after quotable. Here we have it. The first exclusive "leak" from the upcoming mixtape "Rated VIZ". This song is a remix of the song "Rude Boy" which is included on Rihanna's "Rated R" album.
